friends and ac quaintances of both sides and so in terested was every one in the testi c mony that quiet prevailed Immediately after Ben Duckwortl completed his testimony the contest ants called the defendants witnesses on cross examination This is a move rarely made by contestants and some time was consumed in arguing this pointMrs Roger Eades Mrs Tracy am Mrs Minerva Hodgkin had been call ed looked after grandfather whip there I went to school in the fal until I was 17 years old IJ saw a great deal of grandfathe while I was at Mrs Hodgkins have not lived there for six years vas at her home during my grandfathers sickness I was at the hous from 830 to 11 oclock ono morning When I was there he was weak an frail Mrs Hodgkin told me he changing fast and was childless She also toll me that waI boys Sam and Clay Hodgkin sold his hogs and should buy hit t some clothes that he had no mone i to buy them with lCMy grandfather never gave m anything only some clothes when was young After I was grown h has given me nothing lie was very friendly with me He was man who when he liked any one h would talk to them Ho talked freely to the Hodgkin family The rcaso J he did not ilke me I think children lived at aunt Minerva Hodgkins unt I was 23 years old Mrs Hodgki J had two daughters but they neve did work like myself My grandfather was friendly but had very little t say to me Since I Lisle My mothers name was Hamp ton My husbands name was Jessi Hodgkin never heard my father efer to Mr Eubank or Mr Duck Aorth who married my sister Lever heard him express his feeling oward my for record until the lay the will was made I asked him bout lodging the deed to this land for record once only and he told au lot to worry about it that my home vas alright I asked why he had not recorded my deed in 1907 when ChilIdrenI dont know when my father de sided to make a will Mr Winn came nit to see him with Mr Connie Lisle me day and the next day the will was vane Mr Connie Lisle and his wife left and Mr Winn stayed allnight He remained in the room with my father until 9 oclock I dont re nember of hearing my father and Mr Winn talking about the will The firs knew about Mr Sinn
