Become New States Muskogee I T Dec 1With the ad mission of Indian Terrftory and Okla homa as one state there will arise a brand of politics hitherto unknown among scientists It will be the appea ance in Congress of the native Amen can Indian as a lawmaker In his nat ural elements the Indian is a pure ex ample of the communist He does Want individual ownership and says Go never designed the earth to be parceled out to the children of men His argu ment has much about it that belongs to philosophy He declares that since there is a stipulated amount of land in the universe the day will come when it is all owned by somebody who has a deed to it and then there is no longer a place where future generations may hope to subsist without paying tribute to the owner of the land It is probably a question whether the Indian politician Will be able to inflict his pecular notions on the rabble of Commercial agents with whom he will be associated It is a strange thing the Indian has never departed from his original ideas regarding the common ownership of land His natural rever ence for a Supreme Being has made him respect those things which to him were purely Godgivan The land and the water were not his to selfishly possess He could use them only in com mon with others He even treats the deer and the beaver with cotretit1tl and says that God placed them on earth to live and thrive
