stitch in the side pleurodynia the pain may be so acute as to simulate pneu monia or pleurisy The chief symptom of muscular rheumatism is pain in the muscles affected not usually very severe when the parts are at rest but some excruciating on attempted motion A light touch may be painful while deep and firm pressure gives relief The acute attack usually begins suddenly and the pain attains its mis appropriated It would be indeed if the court had not made some mistakes but if it has none of the reform forces arc able to find it and point it out and suggest what they would have done under like circumstances Too bad time committee will not allow its eminent lawyer T O Jones to discuss the issue of the campaign with W O Belcher whom ArRMs says never was accused of being a lawyer Looks like Belcher would make a rather poor show against such a lawyer as Jones Looks as if it would be an advantage to their candidates to go before the people and show his superiority over Belcher He could then make a display of his legal lore Wonder if Mr Pannell will let him The Dem are about their large campaign fund We suppose it is true that they gathered together a large fund to corrupt the election They have made their boasts that they expected to buy two hundred votes on the day of the election We do not believe they can do this We do not believe that the b jys in the trenches those who hew the wood and carry the water will ever see much of this fund It is those who sit in Democratic headquarters and drink fine whiskey and smoke ten cent cigars during the day and then pile in a double rig and go to the country and tell the boys what to do that will use most of the money We doubt if any of the except the tax gatherer will know just what has been collected from the Democrats out in the state last Monday J J Rice said to D Hardison a Republican that the present county officials were squandering the peoples money and no proceedings of the Fiscal court had ever been published Mr Rices zeal ran away with his judg anent in this instance Mr Hardison very promptly asked him why he didnt take the records and go be people This jUestjon was a complete surprise to Mr Rice arid he weakly replied that the records were so kept that nothing could be made of them Mr Hardison promptly reported this conversation to Judge Pace and Rices hand was called Rice ad mitted that he knew absolutely nothing about the county affairs that all the information he possesses was given him by Cam Howard Tom Pannell and a few others He admitted that he had been peddling these falsehoods over the county without taking any pains to invest their correctness If Jim Rice sufficient honor to preside over the County court of this county he never would have made these state ments Serfoss Statement Skewing tells Attitude The affiant James E Harper states that he is fortyone years of aye lives at Bevier Muhlenberg County Kentucky is a miner and has been a member of the Miners union for about sixteen years and that some time in the month of July 1908 T L Roll the present nominee lor sheriff of Muhlen berg County approached this affiant to hire him to do some work for the them on the 2nd day of November the Court House ring is attempting to arouse party prejudice by telling that Curg Roll is such a Democrat that if elected sheriff of the county he will not permit a Republican to hold office in the county for the next twenty years With what powerful conjurations or by what mighty magic Mr Roll will accomplish this wonderful feat they fail to state but the
