Sharon Grove before a larc concourse of people The follow ing Is a summary and extract of his address on that occasion Mr P vler said Ladies and Gentlemen Today is the time set apart for the commencement of the educational campaign in Kentucky I have been selected and solicited by the educational board to address you here today and 1 would say that it is a pleasure and gratifying fur me to have the opportunity of addressing you so vital and important a subject But permit me first to deviate from the subject main by way of prefatory remarks I stand you as an humble citizen of Kentucky Kentucky is my native land it was upon her soil where I first saw the glorious light of day I was reared among her hills Kentucky Is the honk of my youth and manhood I love her hills and valleys her rivers and I love the people of their sociability and ueneros try their chivalry womanhood and manhood I am proud of her pro ductlon of statesmanship her elo qucncc and oratory that has moved our great nation with emotion a by magic fire I am proud of Kentuc kys heroes who have become his torte by their valor on fields of blood and victory but I must de list from further talk along this line ever at a similiar service in the gathered there last Sunday to dedication It is estimated that at least 1200 people were present The church had been built in less than four months and was entirely free from debt ready for dedication Liberal friends in attendance made up a purse of about Sioo with which will be provided fine bell The dedicatory sermon was deliver ed by Rev J T Barbee of Dawson Springs and was a masterly address To the pastor Rev G B is largely due the credit for the new building as under his care the church has made wonderful progress along all lines This is the eighth
