' for the Past Ten Days-Ju- dge Young Presiding. Lloyd Willoughby, who shot and killed Willium York at this county, on election day in November, was tried Sat- urday in the Circuit Court and found guilty of voluntary manslaughter. He will be sentenced under the indeterminate law by Judge Young. George Goddard, who trained horses here last year for Thomas Fitzpatrick, was given a verdict of $500 damages against the Citizens Guarantee & Trust Company, of West Virginia, for assault and The company was on battery. the bond of former Policeman Howard Anderson, who had arrested Goddard and struck him. Goddard was tried and acquitted and then brought suit against Anderson's bond for damages and secured the above verdict. James Cartmell, convicted of stealing cattle, will be sentenced under the indeterminate law. Cartmell was charged with stealing cattle in Bath county and selling them in this county. JefFer-sonville, Date for Fair to Be Determined at Next Meeting. Meeting of the stockholders of the Montgomery County (Ky,) Fair Association, held in the county court room, Mt. Sterling, Ky., pursuant to call, for the purpose of electing a Board of Directors for the year beginning with January 17, 1911. Ma-gowa- Meeting was duly called to order by President James It. duly made, seconded and unanimously adopted, Squire Turner was made chairman of the temporary organization and V. C. Hamilton secretary. (Vfter motion n. Ruben Durham was convicted on the charge of housebreaking, and given an indotcrminatc sentence. Lydia Keflitt, charged with malicious cutting and wounding was found not guilty. D., one of the most noted clergymen and scholars in the Southern Bantist Church, died at his home at Richmond, Va., last week in the seventieth year of his age. He leaves a widow, one son, W. It. Whitsett, of Baltimore, and one daughter, Mrs. Howard G. Whitehead, of Richmond, Va. Dr. Whitsett was a native of Tennessee and a Confederate cavalryman under Ge Forrest. Gatewood and Daughter Inherit Money. In the will of the late R. T. Anderson, Sr., of Lexington, which was admitted to probate in the Fayette county court Wednesday, of last week, Mrs. A. J.
