The first com plete copy was printed at 12! o'clock on tue night of Friday, November 4. 1884, in a room over tho store house of J. E. Vowels, now the property of D. 0. Price. The paper was printed on an army baud press which required three hands to operate; one to use ink roller, another lo place on and take the paper from press aud one to turn the crank. It was a tedious aud slow operation but good wcrk was turned out. One mau today in Signal office with its improved machinery does the press work that .would have required four men at time this paper started.
