her and to whom she delivered a magnificent address which in dignity and power we have seldom if ever heard equaled The choir of the Christian church ren dered excellent music and the unexcell ed soloists Mrs Sutherland and Mrs E C Long charmed the visitors by the beauty and sweetness of their sing ¬ ing Miss Lemon of Lexington executed a piano solo on Wednesday evening with rare skill and Miss Sinclair of Georgetown won praise as a violinist Miss Irene Smiley of the State College gave a fine oration in excellent style while Mrs Walter Clark and her son Ray rendered a duet the W C T U version of My Old Kentucky Home very effectively A Young Peoples Union numbering twenty five young ladies and gentlemen was organized Altogether the convention was a success and has left a good impression upon the community All the local ministers who were in the city attended the meetings were intro duced and expressed their hearty co opeiation in the good work The Presi dent Miss Annie
