and Milt Stathis Greek propcrietors of the Manhattan Restais rant and Pat Bohannon formerly SL member of the Louisville Base Ball Club Grover Land catcher on th Cleveland American League base ball team Eph Lillard A young merchant Hugh Harrod arid Red which occurred in the restaurant Tehopias was shot in the head and ly injured The Greak will die The were ily alter the shooting except Lir who was arrested at noon and were released on bond The cause of the fight was that the young men went into the Greek restau rant and began to fire off shooting crackers and roman candles and the Greeks protested and started the police the young men stopped them and the fight began Tehophanis iWa strong man and would have been any member of the crowd by himself but was not equal to a fight with the whole crowd When the fight began the Greek employes came tothe rescue of the proprietor and the athletes were getting the worst of it when the shot was fired that may prove fatal to the Greek proprietor The wounded Greek was taken to a hospial and at first it was thought that he would die in a short time Consequently Chief of Police Manpan took a statement from him in which lie said Bohannon shot him Bohannon denies that he shot the Greek and says that neither he nor Land should fiavd been arrested that they had nbtbiiig to do with the shooting f4 Notice At the December meeting
