blood vessel He was taken suddenly Friday and soon lapsed an un condition He was a brother of the late Dr Prichard well know fjp in Bourbon The deceased is survived it by a wife and four children whom f he leaves ingood circumstances Mrs Fretwell Prichard of this city attended the funeral Mr John Moreland agea 73 years re died at the Confederate Home Peewee Valley at an early hour yesterday morning The progress of the Court has been much delayed twentyone of the thirtysix jurors having been excused onaccount of ill ness The first Commonwealth case was that of Chas Penn charged with ma liciously shooting at J Walker Muir This case took up all day Tuesday and Wednesday the jury assessing Mr Penn with a fine of 50 and costs Ar guments were made by T E Moore Jr for the Commonwealth and Maurie Kemper of Lexington for the witnesses until this morning at nine oclockJudge Stout convened court yester day morning although it being Thanks givirg Day to hear several arguments in equity cases in order to clear the docket of many old cases The Commonwealth against Lewis Bishop charged with Cutting and wounding will be the first case called this morning The Commonwealth docket which contains no very impor tant cases will be cleared up before any civil cases are taken up A number of important civil cases will come on for trial including the suit for ten thousand dollars damages of Sam Jett against Judge James Har gis and Senator Alex Hargis for alleg ed malicious prosecution The case was transferred from the Circuit Court The attorneys for Jett are Jouett Byrd and Jouett of Win chester and County Attorney T E Moore Jr of Paris while the defend ants will te represented by Judge Denis Dundon C M Thomas and E M Dickson of Paris John M Steven son of Winchester Judge J C C Back of Jackson and W A Young Another important suit to be tried at this term of court is that of Bourbon county vs the Paris Water Company which is a suit for damages in the sum of 100000 for the Joss of the fire in 1903 the county alleging that the destruction of the building was due to the negligence of said Water Company m that they failed to sufficient water power by which a stream or streams of water
