daughter Sarah K are left with three sisters and a brother to weep but not without hope for she was ready to an swer the summons Death had no terrors for her For 16 years she had been afflicted but no one ere pressed on more bravely or bore their trials with out murmuring and always the first to say Let us go and help when sickness came to any of her neighbors and at the sick bed many have heard the pretty words songs and prayers from her lips To her all things were pure and in all of lifes work she was ready to meet anything that came with that faith In Him that never faltered Oh could the four of us who are left live the life of purity and bo as blest and as well prepared for death as she was The words she spoke were always kind and good never thinking of self but what she could do for others It was good to hear her talk add to her broth er who is in the far West sho sent words of lovo and kindness sending messages to her friends and asking all to lay aside any hard feelings or any thing that would keep them from being a Christian and to so livo this life as to meet her in heaven We have lost our darling sister She has bid us all adieu She has gone to live in heaven And to us is lost to view Oh that dear one how we loved her Oh how hard to give her up But an angel came down for her And removed her from our flock Earth has lost its look of brightness Heaven seems to us more bright Since the spirit of our dear ones Took their happy homeward flight And we long to cross that river Long to rest upon that shore There to see and know and love them r With the Savior evermore We weep for her no tenderer wife Eer made mans fireside bright No more devoted mothers love Eer kept home altar fires alight And she is with the angel host With sinless heart and stainless hand Waiting to meet the friends to come To that bright and happy laud Weep not that her toils aro over Weep not that her race is run God grant we may rest calmly When our work like hers is done Til then we yield with gladness Our sister to Him to keep And rejoico in the sweet assurance He giveth His loved ones sleep Peaceful be thy silent slumber Peaceful in thy grave so low Thou no more will join our number Thou no more our sorrows know Yet again we hopi to meet thee When the day of life is fled And in heaven with joy to greet thee There no farewell tears are shed Call not back the dear departed Anchored
