Jus tus Goebel was present, but Arthur Goebel could not get there. Judge Lewis McQuown was appointed chairman of the ceremonies to be carried out at the unveiling. The General Assembly will be in session at that time and an elaborate programme will be arranged. Senator McCreary and Beckham will be among the speakers of the occasion. The sum of $15,500 was spent for the monument, leaving a bal ance of $1,234 in the fund, which wil be kept on interest as a perpetual fund for the purpose of keeping the monu ment and lot in good shape.
