William McCracken is under arrest at London charged with defrauding insurance companies of $30,000 while living in Oklahoma. The Senate ratified an arbitration convention between the United States and Paraguay, which was signed on March 13 last. In a head-ocollision at Coldwell, Washington, two electric passenger trains were wrecked. Ten were killed and CO injured. The city clerk of Cincinnati an nounces that during the past year there was one divorce granted icr every seven marriages celebrated. As a result of a switch engine dashing into a heavily-loadesuburban street car in Memphis, Tenn., one person was killed and ten injured. Lightning struck the kitchen of a suburban dwelling at Memphis, instantly killing two children, fatally injuring a third child and seriously injuring the well-knowd freight train jumped the track near Hazel Patch and an engine and six cars were wrecked. Fireman E. Wadslich was probably fatally hurt. A Richmond dispatch says that an unknown party called at the home of Ollie Barr, a farmer living near Paint Lick, and left a basket containing a girl baby and lots of clothes.
