Haldeman, of Louisville, Is peculiarly sad. She was touring Europe with her parents and while in Paris was taken with what proved to be appendicitis. An operation was performed and she died from the effects of it. She was 22 years of age and her death occurred on the anniversary of her birth. Those who visited Crab Orchard Springs, where her parents spent their summers 10 or 15 years ago, will remember the bright and pretty little girl who always responded when asked her name, "Miss Lizzie," and every body called her so.
