could have left us who would have been so sadly missed lie was a familiar figure here for nearly 30 years and was foremost in every good work lie was a man of even temper I polite to every one even to the urchin on the roadside He loved his profea lion to which ho devoted his whole life and practiced In the poorest homes regardless of the prospects of remun eratlon He was a member of the Meth odlit church and superintendent of his Sunday school almost continuously since the organization of the church tome 25 years ago lie took great Interest In r education and had high ideals as to the training of youths Tho funeral sere vices took place at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon and were conducted by his pastor Rev W W- s Hunt when his body was laid to rest In Middleburg cemetery Dr Wesley was 60 years old and had been a prac ticing physician for 48 years Ills wife and three chllcren are left to mourn his loss In his demise the wife has lost M loving husband the children a kind father the purposo of nominating democratic candidates for the offices of circuit judge and Commonwealths attorney in and for the Thirteenth Judicial District of Kentucky to be voted for at the regular November election 1909 2 All democrats who are legal voters shall be entitled to vote in said primary election and are requested to do so 3 Any person who desires to bo a candiaate for the democratic nomina tion for circuit judge or Common wealths attorney shall not later than April 30th 1909 give notice of such in tention in writing to GL Penny chairman of the District Committee of tho Thirteenth Judicial District and in addition candidates for the nomination for circuit judge shall at the time of giving said notice deposit with tho aforesaid chairman the sum of 600 and candidates for the nomination for Commonwealths attorney shall at the time of giving said notice deposit with the chairman 300 4 Said District Committee shall meet at the office of the secretary in Dan ville Kentucky on Wednesday May 5 1909 at 2 P M and if at the expiration of the time fixed by Section 3 hereof there be not more than one can didate for circuit judge or Common wealths attorney who has complied with tho conditions of Section 3 then the committee will declare to bo the nominee for the office sought that per son who is tho only candidate and shall refund to such candidate the entrance fee paid by him less his proportion of the costs already accrued from advertising and preparing for the election 6 The polls shall be opened in each and every precinct of all the counties in the district aforesaid in the usual and regular voting places 6 Upon the closing of the polls the officers shall proceed to count the bal lots and to make returns and in so doing shall be governed by the provisions of the general election laws and the returns shall be made to the chairmen of the respective counties in the dis trict who will deliver the stubbooks tho certificates and any questioned bal lots to this committee 7 The officers of election shall bo se lected from lists to be offered by the candidates in accordance with the pro visions of the primary election law by the district committeeI8 Each candidate shall be entitled to designate by written notice to the chairman of each county committee in the district not less than five days be fore May 15 1909 tho name of one per ion for each voting precinct in each county to act as challenger and inspec tor for said candidate at said primary election 9 On the next day after the returns shall have been made the committee shall meet and canvass the vote cast and issue certificates of nomination 10 The chairman of the district is die rected to employ a person to copy from tho regular registration books made in Danville and Harrodsburg in 1903 the names of all democrat and the person so employed shall return the copies certified as required by law to the chairman who shall cause them to be duly delivered to tho officers of election The chairman is further directed to cause to be printed and prepared for use the requisite number and kind of ballots which shall bear the facsimile procureicause them together with the ballots to ho delivered to the officers of elec tion as required by law 11 The chairman will causo copies hereof certified by himself and the sec rotary of the committee to be posted- at the court house door in Stanford Lancaster Danville and Harrodsburg and in 20 other conspicuous places in each county in the district for not less than 40days prior to May 15 1909 and said notice shall be
