The democratic committco for this judicial district met at Danvillo Tuesday afternoon and decided on a primary for Saturday, Muy 15, as tho method and time for nominating candidates fur circuit judge and Commonwealth's Attorney. Mr. George L. Penny, of this place, is chairman of tho committco und Mr Chenault Huguely, of lioyle. was made secretary. All of tho members were present und the meeting was a harmonious one. There aro two candidates for circuit judge, Judges M. C. Sauflcy and J. S. Owsley, Jr., both of this county. Commonwealth's Attorney Charles A. If you und I should have a eontest between ourselves only and only in Lincoln coun ty, tho result would not bo binding on anyone else, nor in my opinion would it bo binding on the district Committee This committee gets its authority from tho rules prescribed by tho Isst Democratic State Convention, and not from tho agreement of candidates.
