election is hereby called to be held in the several voting precincts of Lincoln county on SaturI day February 6th 1909 between 6 AI M and 4 P M for tho purpose of nom inating democratic candidates for the offices of county judge county attorney county clerk sheriff jailer representative assessor school superintendent magistrates of the several magisterial districts constables coroner and surveyor 2nd All democrats who are legal voters of Lincoln county or who will bo legal voters on the 2nd day of November 1909 are entitled to voto In their respective precincts and are requested to do so 3rd Every candidate who desires to have his name printed on the ballots to be used in said primary election shall on or before 12 oclock midnight of the 22nd day of January 1909 deposit with the treasurer of the committee the sum hereby fixed as the entrance fee in trace for the office for which he is a candidate said sum so realized to be used in defraying tho expenses of the primary At tho same time the candidate shall give written notice to the chairman that he desires to be a candidate and name the office he seeks The entrance fee of candidates shall be as follows For sheriff 40j for county judge 10 for county attorney 10 for county clerk 10 for jailer 15 for assessor 10j for representative 10j for school superintendent 10 circuit clerk 10 4th The election shall be held in all respects as required by statute relative to primary elections and a uniform ballot shall be used in all voting precincts The chairman of the commit tee is directed to cause to be printed and distributed to the several votin precincts the necessary ballots and all supplies necessary to the legal conduc of the election 5th The democratic county committee shall appoint officers to hold the election in each precinct who shall be selected from lists furnished by all car dilates who desire to submit lists The officers shall be as nearly divided as possible as to judges clerks and sheriffs among the various candidates The officers of the primary shall as soon as the polls are closed which shall be done at 4 r M proceed at once to count the ballots cast for each and every cand date for office and after counting same r they will place all ballots voted in the ballot boxes furnished by the commi tee sealing up the boxes as required t y law and within two days thtreafte the sheriffs and judges of election will deposit the boxes with the chairman If the county committee at the court house in Stanford The officers of the election in each precinct will make and sign a written statement showing the number of votes cast for each and eVe ery candidate for office in the prednc and place said statement in an envelope and deposit it in the ballot boxes Gth Tho returns are to be made to the candidates for county offices 1st A primary election Is hereby called to be held in the several votin precincts of Lincoln county on Saturday February 6th 1909 between 6 A M and 4 P M for tho purpose of nom- Inating democratic candidates for the offices of county judge county attorney county clerk sheriff jailer representative assessor school superintendent magistrates of tho several magisterial districts constables coroner and surveyor 2nd All democrats who are legal voters of Lincoln county or who wlll be legal voters on the 2nd day of November 1909 are entitled to voto in their respective precincts and are re quested to do so 3rd Every candidate who desires to have his namo printed on the ballots to bo used In said primary election shall on or before 12 oclock midnight of the 22nd day of January 1909 deposit with tho treasurer of the committee tho sun hereby fixed as the entranco fee in th- race for the office for which he is a candidate said sum so realized to b used In defraying tho expenses of tin primary At the same time the candi date shall give written notice to the chairman that ho desires to be a candi date and name the office ho seeks The entrance fee of candidates shall bo as follows For sheriff 40j for county judge 10 for county at torney 10 for county clerk 10 for jailer 15 for assessor 10 for rep resentative 10j for school superintendent 10j circuit clerk 10 4th The election shall be held in all respects as required by statute relative to primary elections and a uniform ballot shall be used in all voting pre cincts The chairman of the commit tee is directed to cause to be printed and distributed to the several voting precincts the necessary ballots and all supplies necessary to the legal conduct of the election 5th The democratic county commit tee shall appoint officers to hold the election In each precinct who shall be selected from lists furnished by all can didates who desire to submit lists The officers shall be as nearly divided as possible as to judges clerks and sher- Iffs among the various candidates The officers of the primary shall as soon as the polls are closed which shall be done at 4 r M proceed at once to count the ballots cast for each and every candi date for office and after counting same they will place all ballots voted in the ballot boxes furnished by the commit tee sealing the boxes as required by law and within two days thereafter the sheriffs and judges of election wit deposit the boxes with the chairman ol the county committee at the court house in Stanford The officers of the election in each precinct will make and sign a written statement showing the number of votes cast for each and ev ery candidate for office in the precinct and place said statement in an envelope and deposit it in the ballot boxes 6th The returns are to be made to the chairman of the county committee and should he be absent from the coun ty then to the secretary of the com mittee at the court house within two days after the election On the next day after the election the county com mittee shall meet and canvass the returns of the election and make certificate thereof 7th The secretary of tho committee is
