county to nomi nate candidates for county offices 1st A primary election Is hereby t called to be held In the several voting precincts of Lincoln county on Saturday t February 6th 1909 between C A M and 4 p M for tho purpose of nom mating democratic candidates for tho offices of county judge county attor ney county clerk sheriff Jailer rep f resentative assessor school superintendent p magistrates of tho several magisterial districts constables coro ner and surveyor 2nd All democrats who arc legal voters of Lincoln county or wwillb- o legal voters on the 2nd day of No vember 1909 are entitled to voto In their respective precincts anti are requested to do no 3rd Every candidate who desires to have his name printed on tho ballots to bo used In said primary election shall on or before 12 oclock midnight of the 22nd day of January 1909 deposit with tho treasurer of the committee tho sum hereby fixed as tho entrance fee In the Taco for tho office for which he Is a candidate said sum fo realized to be used In defraying tho expenses of tho primary At the same time tho candl date shall give written notice to the chairman that ho desires to bo a candi date and name the office ho seeks Tho entrance fee of candidates shall be as follows For sheriff 40 for county judge 10 for county at torney 10 for county clerk 10 for Jailer 15 for assessor 10 for rep i resentative 10 for school superintend ent 10 circuit clerk 10 4th The election shall be held in all respects as required by statute relative to primary elections and a uniform ballot shall be used in nil voting pre tints Tho chairman of tho commit tee is directed to cduso to be printed and distributed to the several voting precincts the necessary ballot and all supplies necessary to tho legal conduct of tho election 5th Tho democratic county commit tee shall appoint officers to hold the election in each precinct who shall be selected from lists furnished by all can didates who desire to submit lists The officers nhall bo as nearly divided as possible as to Judges clerks and aher iffs among the various candidates The officers of tho primary shall as soon as the polls are closed which shall be done at 4 r M proceed at once to count the ballots cast for each nnd every candi date for office ahd after counting same they will place all ballots voted in the ballot boxes finished by the commit i tee sealing up tho boxes as required by law and within two days thtreaftcr the sheriffs and Judges of election will deposit the boxes with tho chairman of the county cUmmlttco at tho court housVln
