Lucien July Louisville Moore a prominent young man whose fad is snakes had a painful He had caught a big experience black snake and was proudly show- ¬ ing his friends how he had subdued the reptile when the snake made a leap for his head It seized firmly on Moores lip uile its slimy coil was wrapped No amount of around his neck pulling and pinching would induce the snake to let loose Some one suggested that the best way of sav ing Moores life would be to cut off the head of the snake but Moore objected fearing that the head would continue its grip Another member of the family finally came
