present except two trustees also a fairly good number of the members I and several visitors The regular program moved verytsmoothly until we reached unfinished business showing that we had pur ttchased over S200 worth of clover seed and still needed over 100 bushels of oats Also that some mem t hers had horses mules cattle and hay to sell and others wanted to buy these very articles Thus the meet Ing brought buyers and sellers and producers and consumers together proving that the union is an exceltlent advertising medium in fact next i thing to the Hickman Courier But when we reached unfinished business the President declared that this brought up elevators John Creed led off with an excellent speech in favor of rat proof ware houses on high dry land to be used in place of elevators as they are so much cheaper and can be used to store wheat in summer and corn in winter Ht told of his visit to southwest Missouri and showed that the farm ers there were making a grand suc
