dan in Procuring the Death of Girl TWO MEN CIIAUGED IX AFFAIR t Details of a horrible affair have come to light the past few days as the result of two Indictments re turned by the grand jury of the Ohio Circuit Court which closed Its midwinter session here last Friday The affair happened several months ago but officials and outraged cit- Izens have been working on the matter ln the meantime and finally got it In shape to present to the grand jury On Wednesday afternoon the grand Jury returned an In dictment against Dr Charles DeWeese a prominent and well connected young physician of Horse Branch this county charging him with manslaughter by procuring tho death of Florence Morris a young girl about 16 years old Martin Wllloughby of Cen tral City was also Indicted with Dr DeWeese on the charge of as sisting in procuring the death of the girl FJudge Blrkhoad fixed the ball of atI1000I were Issued yesterday for the ar menton good authorit that Wllloughby has left Central City for parts unknown he havin heard that the grand jury was In vestigating the cause of the death of Mss Morris A most horrible crime has bee committed If the facts as related before the grand Jury are true Florence Morris formerly resided at U Horse Branch Her parents are dead and some months ago she went to Central City to make her home with the family of Martin+ Wllloughby A few months ago she was brought back to Horse Branch by Willoughby and taken to the home of Mrs Bunk Smith who live I out In the country from the town The girl had been there atfbut three weeks when Dan Wilson a well todo farmer had occasion to go to the Smith place to see a4 4over named Davis During the conversation Davis told Wilson lr about the Morris girl being there and of her condition While the two men were talking only n few feet from the back door of the house some one came to the door and informed Davis that the girl1I t 1was dying Wilson and Davis the went Into the house and in alesi moments the girl was dead It was stated before the gran I Jury thrt Wilson found Dr De Wtese In the room where the girlI died and that he said In the pres ence of Wilson Davis and othersI f In the room that Miss Morris hadI died from some natural cause pos sibly pneumonia It was then suggested by some one in the room that Miss Morris t i be burled at once To this there Jtwas strovng objection on the part ofr OP MARDIGRAS GOT HIM IN TROUBLE Dawson Springs Ky Feb 17 Edwln Shoemaker n Princeton lad of 17 I was arrested here chargedI with horse stealing Young Shoemaker It Is reported he first of the week hired n horse rom a Princeton livery stable os tenslbly to ride to Scottsburg a small village between Princeton and Dawson Springs Instead he came to this place and attempted to trade the stolen horse to Dee Fentress a livery stable proprietor Shoemaker it is said claimed that the horse was his fathers and that he had been authorized to trade him Suspecting that the horse had been stolen Mr Fentress Informed Marshal Albua Hamby who after receiving a telephone message from the owners of the horse arrested the young man He Is said to have made severall attempts to sell the horse to people evidence of the murder of Clarence Illller n railway official whose home he attempted to rob In September 1010 Jennings was the only one of the condemned men who required assistance to mount tho
