No kind of an argument could convince the one juror that Mrs. Lynch should receive a life sentence, and he stated that he would remain In the jury room sixteen- years before ho would come over to the majority side. It was then suggested that a sen tence of voluntary manslaughter from two to 21 years was equlva-- , jent to a life sentence for Mrs. Lynch, and rather than to have a hung Jury, the eleven men who wero for life Imprisonment agreed to the verdict with, tho one juror who was for voluntary manslaugh- -son-in-la- Negroes Decreasing.
