mention has been made in the local papers regarding a proposed Street Fair to be held in this city in the early part of next month October There is no doubt about it that if the matter is thoroughly pushed it will prove a grand success and bring many dollars into the city that would not otherwise come The city officials the Commercial Club and every business manas well as every private citizen should put their shoulders to the wheel and make ita grand success It can be done and it should be done Having seen these fairs undertaken and carried out in other cities the writer begs leave to offer a few suggestions Let the fair be held from Monday October 10th to Saturday October 15th inciusive Buffalo Bills Wild West Show will be here on October 11th this could be advertised as an attraction Fair week Let the Frank fort Jockey Club get up a weeks Fall Meeting for Fair week and advertise some good races for every afternoon during Fair week Let the Street Car Company also get especially good attractions at their Park that week also Let the Committee on Arrange- ¬ ments get up a neat circular adver- tising all of the above attractions of interesting also descriptions points about Frankfort and send them out all over the State Secure special low rates on all railroads of course and hundreds of people that never came to Frankfort before will come to the Capital City and will undoubtedly spend money Let some of our enterprising busi- ¬ ness men take hold of this matter and give Frankfort what she never had before a bran new Street Fair It will bring hundreds of dollars to Frankfort besides advertising the city as she was never advertised A Citizen before In Cupids Toils cncnaananannnananaaaGncnonoa j j j era The announcement has been made no in Louisville
