grain elevators near L N depot was discovered to be on fire with the entire centre ablaze The alarm was sounded and a great crowd ran to the place but it was too late to save it The other big within twenty feet but heroic saved it The burned building owned by the National Bank and cost 2000 It was insured for 900 The building was rented by H A B Marksbury who had stored therein about 2500 bushels This would give ample time for each train to make its destination they leave Rowland sty at 1230 The passenger travel from all this section of Kentucky would then have connection to any point they and we are confident it would be a paying venture for the L N If there are any doubting on the question all we ask is that they study the matter for a few minutes and we are confident they will see the Garrard countys claim the Southern Railway people in New York The representatives from other counties along the proposed route will meet in Louisville and to New York at once where they will lay
