big republican majorty Stanford Journal Sentence Reduced Acting Governor Worthington has commuted the sentence of Mack Ferrill from life to ten years Ferrill killed Saml Engleman Long Sam at Stanford several years ago This re duction together with his good time will leave about two more years for Ferrill to serve The Stanford Jour nal says the report that Judge Saufley and attorney Sam Owsley the gentleman well versed on questions of the day and very confident of his nomination He has much faith in building of the Southern road from Burgin to Middlesboro and said the plan was quite plausible for democratic electors for President at the November election in 1896 This call is for counties in 2nd Rail road Commissioners District and the delegates elected at the county con vention are to cast Square and that the whole layout were fighting to a finish My dream is a realization I said to my shivering self as I reach ed after my shoes to rush to tho scene of the unusuul conflict and help care for the wounded and dying Just then the thought occurred to me that Lan caster is without a night policeman I knew then the racket was being kicked up by the boys who were in nocently practicing target shouting with the mopn for the target About 785 shells were found next morning and very truly there was a hot time In old town It would take very pressing business to get me to walk across the Public Square alone in Lan caster after night as bullets have no eyes and are too weighty for me to carry very many at a is if I have to catch them on the fly J have more sense than my looks would
