Of course a business man dont want to make anyone mad He dosent mind fellows staying in his house if they spend any money lilt patrons of a place seldom stop to lounge The loafer never has any money to spend as he makes nothing lounging about the fire Another annoying feature is the loafers inclination to talk to em and monopolize the time they are paid to put in working A clerk cant keep his patrons The town and county officials have had many applications for assistance These have been granted when food was asked for but of course no coal could be furnished There is great suffering among the poor classes though everything possible is being done for them Business of all kinds is at a stand still and as a merchant said to us We are just burning out our remain ing bucketful of coal and
