Most of the people in my neck of the woods are christians and peacable folks, and have gone through with la- grippe, 4oct wheat, tollgate trouble, Spanish war and many other hardships, but if we are threatened with this new disturbance what it may come to is the question now most exciting our people. That would ba a terrible calamity, for we have all noticed that whenever ONE lawyer starts at anyone that is the last of that person. The shock caused by this terrible disturbance between the two gentlemen has so affected the people of this community that I feel it my duty to try in some way to bring abouc a settlement and let the nation get quiet once more. The plaintiff in the case is John Hundley, of Marion couuty, who had been discharged by the L. & N. railroad for neglect of duty. Judge Paj'n-te- r delivered the opinion, and it is the first time the question has ever been decided in Kentucky.
