Lucinda B Stephens was born in Jessamine county Kentucky on the 25th day of November 1814 Her age therefore at the time of her death was 84 years and one having celebrated with a number of her aged and lifelong friends her 84th just twentyfour hours before she fell asleep in Jesus She was married to William Greenleaf in the year 1830 and shortly afterward removedto this j town where she has lived a con stant source of blessing for years There were only two persons in town older than she and there are not more than one or two who were here when she came They had only gotten fairly started in life when her husband was taken from her and she was left with five little children to battle with life single handed and alone For fortythree long years she has bravely faced the future and grap pled with present duty and died with a spuit sweet and a heart as sunny as a June morning Not far from sixtythree years a she gave herself to Christ and always acknowledged his unreserved master ship
