Journal The negro was arrested shortly after midnight and was brought to the jail here He has made a partial confession and has also been identified by his vic- ¬ tim He was brought here by a posse A crowd of abont fifty people remained in town until about 2 a m but the main body of farmers was expected to arrive at any moment The Jailer called all the officers together and they remained in the
