you are shelling these religious Institutions you speak of for the form of an angel of light Is one of Satans favorite attires If you would accept the undistorted Bible you could fight them a little better and not hurt your cause so badly As It Is only just to give a man a chance to defend the truth hope you will publish enclosed article In your paper and send mo a copy Yours truly J u OUSBURN 0MRS HENRY AND METHUSELAH In the Blade of October 2Cth Mrs Henry writes If you will look at Genesis 25 In tiny Bible that has Its chronology printed at the top you will find that Methuselah was born B C 3130 In verse 27 of that chap ter you will find that Methuselah liv ed to the good old age of years In Genesis you will find that the ark sailed B C 2319 that at the time Noah pulled In his stage plank Methuselah was quite a boy only 781 years old In order then that Methuselah should live out his 909 years he had to live 188 years after the flood Gen 25 says that And Methuse lah lived an hundred and eighty and seven years and begat Lamech It wan the begetting of Lamech Instead of the birth of Methuselah that was 3130 B C Verses 28 aul 29 say And Lam ech liver an iutijredaadeighty and twd years and begat a son arid he called his name Noah Genesis says And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth Add these together and they make Methuselah 909 years old when the flood came should advise Mrs Henry not to be too fast when she goes to kick Ing against the pricks The Bible is built to stay and all the wads that Infidelity may shoot will not cause the least perturbation of its eternal truthsI to several Intelligent women Mrs Henrys objection to wearing a husbands name They said they would as soon voluntarily wear a husbands name as to Involuntarily wear a fathers name since one was Hkely to be as bad man as the other They said they could not see any tive for a woman objecting to wear a husbands name unless she wanted to wear the breetches and was ashamed to come right out and say so By the way of diversion Mr Moores piece on Disintegration of the churches is good Some times think so many church es and so much disintegration and that when they all claim to be led by the same book Is enough to make Infidels Notwithstanding all denomi nations have some truths the main difference between church members and Infidels Is tho former do not know they dont believe the Bible and the latter do It is believing some thing the Bible does not teach in other words believing lies that makes so denominations anti so many rundownattheheel Christians When people have not the proper love for the truth God sends them delusion that they may believe lies and be damned The Blade says that it Is edited In the interest of good morals Jesus Christ was for good morals before Moore was born He denounced strong drink before Robert Ingersol ever thought of damned stuff Ho told husbands to love their wives before Mrs Henry ever raised a voice against the domineering husband and before Gee Washington ever breathed about keeping church and State separate he admonished us to be sub ject to the powers that bo govern ments etc for they are ordained of God as a terror to evil works It Is the height of folly for nay Infidel to claim the patent on morls ex pression love one another as have loved you embraces moro morals than all the writings of Infidels see nothing to be gained in being an Infi dol Its true that somo of them 1II- eg1mtso do savages They must be very superstitious to think a moral man has the advan togo of an Immoral one Why not abolish marriage have free love cat drink and be merry for tomorrow yn may die J US BURN ANSWEr Mr J Orsburn My Dear SirThat both Mrs Hen ry and were mistaken In the matter of Methuselah Is quite evident and have no doubt that she will he Just as willing to admit it as am How both of us could have been naturally and honestly mistaken about It Is quite plain The very fine edition of the Bible that use has not the same chronolo gical dates that others seem to have If you have any doubt about the accu racy of this statement will leave my Bible for the Inspecelon of any friend of yours that you may select In Lexington- remember to have heard the state ment that Methuselah was born bef foro tho flood and died after the flood at somo time before and supposed it had been decided that way and up on Investigating the matter was mis led by or at least misunderstood thin marginal chronology In my copy of tho Bible and was quite confident in making the statements that did confirming Mrs Henrys that may have originated In the same way But upon investigation my pub lishes Mr James E Hughes says that six years ago the same thing was discussed in the Blade and that It was then decided that my late opinion about it was wrong- I have had this copy of the Bible that cost for over 30 years and think It quite likely that some time long ago made tho same mistake If It be a mistake In me and not in tho printing of my Bible that led Mrs Henry Into tho mistake that she made and Miat I support her In still mis understanuing my edition of the Bi ble that has not only chronology but many marginal foot notes But this honest error that both Henry and have made has taught me two very Important things or rather confirmed by judgment in two very important regards The first is that my Infidel breth ren arc not swallowing things that say to them simply because I say them and without investigation For as soon as letters could get to me after the Issuance of my paper con taining the Methuselah matter there wore from various Infidel quarters expressions of great regret that Mrs Henry had made the mistake and still others that had attempted to sus o her when my attention had been called to It Various letters from Infidels had come to me making the same expla nation that you do anu had been prin ted in the Blade before I got your let ter and really so far as I know you got your information from letters from protesting Infidels that I prih ted in the Blade f annother very Important thing In connection with this matter Is as fol lows I have many times by coaxing and banter and bulldozing tried to Induce Intelligent Christians to bate with me orally or in writing in my paper or in any other paper that would allow it at the option of the other party and In this connection have frequently said that preachers wore watching what said though they pretended to Ignore me and that the only reason they did not answer me was that they knew was right in what saiu and that they therefore were afraid to try to answer me Now it turns out that hero is a case In which was wrong and soon your letter comes asking permission to pose my error In my paper It Is sim ply In demonstration of what have all time claimed that the pretense of you Christian people that you did not know what was saying In the Blade was simply an Instance of the conspiracy of silence and you did know all the time what was saying and were afraid to meet me until now the first time that know of that have made a blunder about the Bible since began editing this paper In 1884 when you all see that am In error you are just de lighted to have the opportunity to jump on me with both feet and expose my errora virtual acknowledgment just as claim that this is the first error that have made and of course am quite glad that the error was honestly made for the benefit of the lesson we learn from It And now am going to see if as a learned Doctor of Divinity as pose you professionally are you will bo willing to take the medicine you give to other men- think the error of Mrs Henry and myself was comparatively a Huinll one but In your letter to me you made some radical errors about the Christian religion and am going to see If you will admit It as or will try to defend yourself against my charge that you have made these er an honest man you are bound to do one or the other and you roust take one or the other horn of the di lemma else your Insincerity and mor al cowardice and duplicity are ex posedI your Incorrect spelling of Ingersolls name to show that you people who want to underrate Lager soil have not even read enough of him to know how to spell his tunic and my statement galun force by the fact that name Is the only rile pclled word In your two letters to meAs to your patronizing advise to Airs Henry It Is not only true fiat a cat can tool at a king or a queen either hut It was also the custom of kings that the kings fool was the only one who was expected to advise him The statement about the BIHe be ing built to s ay is certainly net what runny tluoloahris of praininiiico are now boasting ulioul and wads of Infidelity is a soniulu of tho sneer that tie clergy some of the most infamous ones ever uttered Speci mens of the latter are as follows nothischildren and brethren and sisters cannotbeBut say unto you make unto yourselves friends of the Mammon of unrighteousness Lnke You say plainly that Jesus de nounced strong drink say he never did and call on you for the passage or passagesOn hand his first mir acle was to make wine he blessed wine and told his followers to drink It and a report about him in his own amonghiswine bibber and a glutton Jesus Christ never told any husband to love his wife and you cant show me any passage where he said it sus Christ never said we should be subject to the powers that be and you cant find any such passage On the other hand Jesus Christ claimed that he was the rightful ruler of the country In which he lived and told his disciples to buy swords to defend his claims never heard of any Infidel that claimed a patent on morals Jesus Christ said love one another but so did many philosophers many centuries before he was born but Je sus said we must hate one another while none of those heathen phil osophers ever did No theres nothing to be gained by being an Infidel except the pleas ant consciousness of Intelligent recti tude Infidelity loses money Christianity gains It Jesus said Make unto yourselves friends of the mum mon of unrighteousness You are changing the old tune now When I was a boy heard from the pulpit many stories of Infidels who died cowardly but never heard of one who died game Tempora mu tautur et mutamur In tills A great many Christians die ardly so do murderers Many Chris tians die on the scaffold You cant tell mo of an Infidel that did so No we dont think It superstit ious to think that a moral man has the advantage of an immoral one Wo think that Is good sense and teach that a moral man has great advan tage over an Immoral one Your sug gestlon about adopting free love seems now to be very common among tho clergy for their own application among the women of their hocks but dont know of any Infidel editor tint Is In favor of It think it Is up to you to sustain your assertions that have challenged or admit that you were wrong as have done In the case under Comstock vs Craddock and trying to devise some method by which we may reach the criminality of Anthony Comstock As am not a lawyer will have to be advised understand the meaning of right and justice attempts to pass a bill against this crime Is set upon by the news papers both Republican and Demo cratlc and he wont go to Congress any more neither will any member of the Legislature who supports the billWhat are government spies postalInspectorswinking at it As have frequently said they are not after the real criminals but In order to appear to be doing some thing they stand around like vul upon them with beak and claw When the government winks at all this unfairness It becomes Itself a far greater criminal than any it pros great trouble lies in the elas ticity of the law Lawyers make the law and tho success of their practice depends up on beating the very law they nuke have often thought that the laws of the land should be remodeled en tirely leaving lawyers out of the re construction There are enough law books in this country If piled together would till every Inch of space In the Capitol when a book the size of Websters Dictionary Is big enough to contain all the common law needed to govern mankind We have entirely too much law We have an Anarchy of law When lawyers argue a case they hold up the decisions of one judge against the decisions of another judge and they can fortify themselves with a thousand such decisions of they want this anarchy ant contention when common right and wrong is plain to man of common sense same Anarchy prevails In Mod icine and Religion Both beat the lawyers In the number of their hooks and in confusion of their ions It would be better for mankind and say this seriously and honestly If all law medicine and religion were wiped right out With tho present general Intelli gence man would construct a gov ernment within few months suited to his needs and in harmony with the modern ideas In tho Interim tho J f good would keep down the lawless t thefirstmankind In law religion and medi elite Is wearily burdened with 7quacleryhavetoSo say and Believe that we havo reached a stage of education cultureand health and these should receive fifty strokes with a knout This was the penalty women had to pay for not bearing boy babies It seems to me it would be a fine thing If all the children born In Russia were boys and the Your bout with Armstrong reminds mo of Don Quixotes tilt against the windmills The Texan Is about as sensitive to your attacks as were the aerial engines to the militant atten fleas of the chivalrous Castlllan in Cervantes satirer If you will permit a suggestion my disputatious friend you are wasting your ammunition In thus engaging you it is not Armstrongs aim to proximate truth lie enters the tellectual tourney for pure joy of the joust lie has no gracious mission for the good of men Within the brain of this ultra utilitarian there dwells no dream of a lofty altruistic purpose There Is no mystery In his motive It Is In part because ho loves contention and I suspect It Is 4 largely to advertise his paper among your constituency He thrives In an atmosphere of ar gument but agreement disagrees with him Do you hope to enlist him In t the cause of Liberalism As well hope to chain the shifting sands of haras windharassed expanse In one particular at least he Is as you charge a Christian adhering strictly to the scriptural advice to he all things to all men He is consistent only in his inconsistency The earnestness of your attitude l has Injected an element of humor into tho affair It must amuse Armstrong Immensely he Is not accus l tamed to being taken seriously and he l finds the novelty of tho situation en joyable Ills own views perhaps are not so variant from yours Ills ad vocacy of a thing does not neces V sarlly imply his approval more likely the contrary Is the case lie care s not which side he espouses so long as he finds opposition You should not blame him for his I lack of sincerity Doubtless ho will not deny that ho is a mental prost tute No newspaper worker who constantly confronted with the bread and butter problem can afford to b entirely honest Sincerity loses its charms when juxtaposed with starva tion Hunger is fatal to heroism None but an ailment philanthropist can publish a paper and ignore pecu niary returns And when a writer works for another he coins his Intellectual Independence Into the price of rest of the race Armstrong Is a creature of circumstances slave to conditions and he makes reasonable concessions to the exactions of existence He Is not a firmed cynic think but ho is wise enough to shun the sacrifice and ho sees more of the fool than of the ro in the martyrs makeup In a word he has come to doubt the util selfdestructionr equipment I have studied his capacity some sshat I am capable of giv i Ing1i fairly accurate measurement t He Is a remarkable reasoner but he has missed a grasp upon those vital truths that link themselves to the logical verities He does not believe therefore he falls to dissipate the doubts of others To be convincing one must be sincere Our man fs not a strikingly nor an exceptionally strong thin But he is precise in his mental meth ods and has an unusual aptitude for assimilating the philosophical idea His habits of thought show a contem illative discipline acquired probably by a large reading of Spencer and Kant In a discussion of governmental or political theory he would have the ordinary adversary at a disadvan tage whatever the Integrity of premise for he has a natural grasp of economics lIe has the keenly analytic mind that is apt to Incline to ward atheism There Is little that Is human In his philosophy He cannot reconcile sentiment with system Ills logic Is allied to logorlthms He Is a materialist whose chill exactitude would reduce every manifestation in Cosmos to a mathematical equation- It is not a question of brains hilt of blood Certain conclusions depend less upon tho cerebrum than upon tit circulation A man with more of the human quality would admit that what ever can be conceived is at least the reflection of a reality Tho impos sible is the unthinkable Whatever exists even an emotion Is an eman atlon Nothing can have a being that has not also a source Therefore son tlment is as much a verity as is sub stance There are many forms of truth which Inflexible logic can not compass Facts alono are necessar ily Inexorable therefore the greater need for adjustability of reason Armstrong Is a clever controver- sialist and can build up a structure of sophistry that is nearly impreg cable Ho is confident In his casuistry well knowing that nothing Is provable and that anything can be made plausible Ho has a wide range of Information but whether ho Is a systematic student or merely a sldllI full sciolist it is difficult to deter mine for the mass of his work is made superficial by its banal character I should say however that he Is an omnivorous reader rather than a finished scholar He has frequently been crltlclsec for purely literary faults These are think affections rather than constitutional attachments It is truo that sometimes ho seems to mistake for verbal artistry an altlsonance tho np poslteness of which Is not always ap parent and ho confounds excessive alliteration with belleslettres ele gance Occasionally his familiarity with tho classics appears a trifle ob trusive Perhaps he employs more mythological allusions than are alto gether necessary to his theme At times his historical references are not entirely relevant These thlnga may suggest to tho critical reader that Armstrong mounts himself upon the pedantic stilts of pretended lear ning It must ho admitted that he has a manner of arraying his men tal wares to Impressive advantage as the shopkeeper displays his stock in a show window But ho is as I have Is tl H L said a prostitute of the pen and must cater to his constituency Ordinarily his style Is sane and satisfying confess to a considerable admira tion for Armstrongs ability and tainments The potentialities of hi genius are great Already ho claim- a small amount of splendid accom plishment With a definite aim am continuity of purpose ho yet may some work of enduring worth As for Isonomy Its weaknesses are many and manifest It mistakes abuse for argument Its epithets are worse than coarse they are com monplace There is no particular merit in calling a man a liar It is much more creditable to prove the fact without malting the assertion It Is pardonable to call a man a liar in print only when you describe the mendacious one In a manner wholly original and In phraseology pictures quo to the point of being artistic In such matters it Is the style and not the statement that Is worth while David who had an Intimate extensive and generally accurate knowledge of human nature dismissed the subject with tho comprehen live declaration that All men are liars and since his day It has not seemed needful to particularize WALTER HURT BON VOYAGE TO THE HOLY LAN Orono Mich Nov 02 Moore Editor B SirYouDear are going to tho Holy Land and the result of your in commendatory notices as Eliza beth Cady Stanton She is held up as a shining example for American women displaying the most philoso phic mind splendid courage and fidel ity to her convictions and to tho cause of Liberty and Justice New York Chicago and San Franciscos great papers devoted whole editorial pages to extolling her virtues ability and success of her great cause If what the papers print editorially about her Is true then the causes of Rationalism and of Woman Suffrage are right and tho sooner they are victorious tho better for the world for Elizabeth Cady Stanton was an awoved Mrs Stanton was ngnt on the question of Woman Suffrage which the American press now declare Is a misunderstood cause and Mrs Stan ton s work has wrought good and on I ELIZABETH CADY STANTON The shadow RINUON y BLUE GRASS BLADE 1 00 tii MRS MARthA i HIGHER ON YE OLDEN THYME Mr Editor Now that the peerless Elizabeth has disappeared from your quartet of women writers you have a trinity left Josephine Harriet and Lucy and they male a trinity hurd to be beaten I doubt if any other paper In this country can show a trinity I am sure no other paper could show anything approximating to your quartet But in spite of all your blessings in that direction Josephine seemed to think that the mite of the widow Hicker should be added being a biblical wo man doubtless she thinks Matthew 25 29 is applicable So here goes Last Friday attended a memorial meeting herethe suffrage girls Christian Temperance Women and a few outsiders wanted to honor Mrs Stanton so they met and proceeded to give testimony concerning her was amazed You really would have thought that our Elizabeth had been a teacher In a Methodist Sab bath Schoolone thing Is certain the churches still hold their ownand other peoples or at least they try to do so Nearer My God to Thee was sung and it seemed very much like a prayer meeting was the last person called upon to speak and I chang ed the aspect of the meeting some what read Elizabeths views on the Bible and something of her work in the Freethought line was the only person present who had over seen her and spoke whereof Imewone Christian woman saidr the religion of her mother was good enough for her said 140 years had changed everything but religion At that time there was not a single white man in what is now Kentucky and Ohio and Indiana or Illinois Then what is now the most flourish ing part of the United States was as little known as the country in the heart of Africa itself It was not till that Boone left his hone in North Carolina to become the first settler in Kentucky and the pioneer of Ohio did not settle till twenty yeas later Canada belonged to France at that time and Washington was a modest Virginia Colonel and the United States was the most loyal part of the British Empire and scarce ly a speck on the political horizon in dlcated the struggle that In a few years was to lay the foundation of the greatest Republic In the world An hundred and thirtyfive years ago there were but four small newspapers in America Steam engines had not been imagined and locomotives and railroads and telegraphs and postal i cards and friction matches and revel yore and percussion caps and breech t iN loading shot guns and Mauser rifles and stoves and furnaces and gas and a electricity were unknown Ealding- j s k fglutv sewing machines anthracit- coal and kerosene oil free schools Itit and spring beds and hair mattresses and lever watches had not been evolv ed The spinning wheel was in every family and clothes was spun and woven and made up in the family and the printing press was a cum brous machine worked by hand Down to 1814 every paper In the world was printed one side at a time on an or dlnary hand press and a nail or a brick or a knife or a pair of shears or scissors or a razor or a woven pair of stockings or an ax or n hoe or a shovel was not made In what Is now the United States In 1700 there were only post offices In the coun try and the whole extent of our post routes was less than 1000 miles cheap postage was unheard of so were envelopes nail had any one sng gested the transmission of messages with lightning speed he would have bee thought insane Since my re memberance houses were lighted with tallow candles and whale oil and have seen a saucer of tallow with a rag immersed doing duty for a light Now madame when you see how we matteraJbe Improved there as as much difference and as much Improvement in the religion of Ingersoll Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the Freethought people generally as there Is between electricity and a saucer of tallow with a rag Perhaps you havent thought of It but if you will stay at home from church next Sunday and think it over you cannot help but see that your creed needs revision Creeds should not be Immovable they should be elastic and when we think that in 1850 there were but 9021 miles of railroad in the United States and now there are 199378 miles You see to keep up with the procession you must revise your creed Its old fashioned said 50 years ago when I was a child wore home made clothes knit stockings and calf skin shoes pumpkin hoods and cotton sunbonnets now we dress differently and the creeds of our ancestors need resmeltlng She said Did you ever have a creed I sari no except to pay one hundred cents on a dollar but know all about creeds My moth er was a devout member of the Free will Baptist Church have heard thousands of times except a man he born again he cannot enter Into the kingdom of God And man Included womanIt always did as far as pains and penalties were concerned Young people cannot have the faintest Idea of the terrific sermons that were preached in those days My husband was a Congregationalist Their creed Is complex from a mathematical standpoint They seem to think that three gods are one and one god Is taughtthatstand it until thought of a boy who said to his teacher when sho explain ed to him that figures dldnt lie You should see my sisters at home and then on tho street You will find r that figures do lie Doubtless by this time Josephine t Is sorry she told me to write you and can hear her say who Marilla But THE P7 Of course at the Lexington Con gress of the National Liberal Party Friday Saturday and Sunday January 23 24 25 1903 303 the main ques tion for the house will be the Sep aration of Church and State but we will naturally discuss various matters germane thereto- I think possibly that there will be considerable effort to introduce cialism and think it would be well to have some understanding of It In is that we are under no obligation to introduce It or to prevent its introduction and that it may legitimately come up for our consideration- It seems to bo a laudable ambition among us to have it said when our Congress Is over that we had a happy and harmonious meeting but the very fact that we Infidels are fighting Christianity Is our own declaration that strife and opposition may be a means of developing truth and if after the Congress is over can real ize that we have gained much val uable information out of some bitterness and nccrlmony growing out of the discussion of Socialism shall be perfectly willing to have it have great confidence in Pres ident Bowies ability and disposition to manage such a debate fairly and we can do more there In a few hours discussion of Socialism face to face where every speaker male and fe male will be held rigidly to parka mentary methods and called down for personality and Irrelevancy than we can do In a years writing with no Impartial chairman to umpire the discussionI that Mrs Henry and Dr Wilson are both Socialists and I am notSocialism and Infidelity are not by any means synonymous and do not know of any Socialist paper that Is an Infidel paper but there are So cialists who are Infidels But for that matter while the leaders of the National Liberal Party are Infidels It Is not at all necessary that a man or woman In order to belong to the N L P shall be an every man and woman is to be his own or her own judge as to his or her fitness for membership In this organization wo all recognize that the only article of faith that con sistency requires one to endorse In order to membership In the party Is the one idea that state and church should be absolutely separate in the management of the affairs of this government and as there are many Christians who believe that way they inethe party as any of the various types of religious heresy- am quite certain therefore that represent the most competent sen timent of the N IjP when say Christians of any variety who are in favor of separation of church and state would be just as cordially wel comed into our organization as anybody In fact nobody in the organi zation has any right to demand to know what may be the opinion of any one on any subject the only pre sumption being that each member is opposed to the alliance of church and state and will express his or her position to such alliance In any way that he or she may think best think that all Socialists and all Christians who are opposed to the alliance of church and state would he consulting their own Interests to have their views represented at the Lexington Congress Oscar I TPut me down for Dog Fennel in the Orient the Blade Maga zinc and Wilsons Poems and dont keep us Roosevelt matter take the following- A woman converted front tho Infidelity of Anarchy to Christianity has just disclosed an alleged Anarchist plot by which she says President Roosevelts life was threatened three times The meeting at which the fatal lot was drawn was held at Paterson Im mediately following tho assassination of President McKlnley Tho woman who now tells a startling story of Anarchistic plotting was a leader of the Reds in Eastern New Jersey and attended every important meet- Ing of the organization- She attended meetings after she became converted to Christianity through fear that her defection would become known She says she feared she would be murdered if her change of faith were known The woman told her story two years ago to her pastor and to others and her secret has been carefully guarded during all the interim Last Thursday she told it to the Mothers Club of the First Methodist Episcopal Church of Hoboken It was In the nature of a confession and was made In a moment of religious the confession had been made publicly to the club members efforts were made to keep the matter a cret but too many knew of it and gradually more or less the truth leaked out The woman was finally cated by a reporter for The World She consented with the approval of her husband in retelling the story for publication She is Mrs Lena Dexhelmer She Is about fortyfive years of age and for a score of years had been first a Socialist and then an Anarchist and associated with anarchists in this city For more than a year she has been in constant fear of her life and several times the family have been forced to move COMMENT The words of Infidelity and archy show the eagerness of Chris tians to damage Infidelity by lying and Imputing Immorality to Infidelity keep a standing challenge to everybody to send me any anarchist par per with marked passages in it to show that it is nun an Infidel paper and nobody ever sends me such a oneThe woman Dexhelmer is entirely unknown to me and to the best of my knowledge and belief equally un known to every Infidel editor or Infi del organization in the world According to her own account of herself she has been a member of the Methodist church at the same time that she was a member of an An archist organization There is noth ing in her own language to Indicate that she was ever an Infidel She certainly does not say so TLe Infi del organization to which I belong has plainly declared against anarchy I am willing to let any Anarchist be heard in my paper Just I am willing to grant that privilege to a Christian but in each case Up It in order to expose the errors of anarchy or of ChristianityftRnbino the Anarchist who lately tried to kill King Leopold wan from Italy the most Christian country in the world and where never heard of an Infidel publication or Infldol or ganization In all the murders of rulers by anarchists nobody ever heard of one of them saying ho was an Infidel Of the seven men executed at Chi cago for anarchy one was a preach er and nobody can send me an Infi del expression from any one of them nobody can show that any one of them was a member of any Infidel or ganization in the world or that he took any Infidel publication in the worldI read their speeches and do not remember ever to have reail an Infidel sentiment from any of theili Anarchist newspapers annually pub lisp eulogies of these men on tho jtu nlversarles of their execution but no Infidel paper in the world does and nobody can send me a line from any Infidel paper honoring the Chicago will go on as they nl always such failure to do our part We are not threatened with any such things as are the nonpaying or thodox We are simply left to do or not to do To do means to help In tho remov al of the great cloud of liberal minded of this generation can do nothing more worthy or commendable than to earnestly engage In the struggle to hand down the posterity a religion free from tra dition and superstition use tho
