pavement shall have ei ther a stone curbing or a concrete curbing If stone curbing is used it shall be four inches thick and extend four inches below the gutter line If the curbing is made of concrete it shall confirm to the following specifications The same specifications as for the pavement except that the concrete shall be 6 inches thick and the curbing shall extend 4 inches below the gutter line Said pavement and curbing shall be constructed according to levels to be furnished by the City EngineerAll and removal of earth and fencing and trees nec essary for the proper construction of said paying and curbing according to the specifications heroin recited shall be done and the owners of said premises shall erect said pavement and curbing according to the specifications herein recited at their own ex pence and subject to the jipprov 4 theydesirepavement and curbing be not completed by the owner of said premises on or before the 1st day of July 1012 then the Oity Ett gineer shall let the construction Qf said paving and curbing and all grading arid work incident thereto to the lowest and best bidder Before letting said con tracts said City Engineer shall first advertise for a period of 5 days by written or printed noti ces or by publications in one issue of some newspaper published in said Oity the time and place when and where said contract will be let and the specifications therefor Said Oity Engineer after accepting any bid for pro posed workshall reduce the con tract of the bidder to writing and when duly executed the same shall be returned to the Olerk of the Council When said City Engineer shall haye accep ted said work from the contrac tor he shall at once notify thisr Council of his acceptance and of the amount due the contractor and will report to this Council the exact measurement qfl the frontage and abuttal so paved and the exact cost of the work done in front of and abutting each lot and the Council will then apportion the costaspro vided by law upon which the Olerk shall issue an apportionment warrent therefor against the owners of said premises ae provided by law and the same shall be a lien upon said premi ses for the full amount fslid warrant and all interest and cost that may accrue thereon The Oity Engineer is hereby appointed to let inspect and receive said work The contractor will be requir ed to give bond with
