etigag J t lug ln the occupation of set ing biretail cider the persqn part Y nership or corporation desiring to do so shall procure a license i and pay an annual tax thereon of 100t Provided however that no license shall be required l to sell cider by the maker there of in quantities not to tie drunk at the time and not to be drunk on the premises of the person so selling 1 r 2 Auy person found into a washout near Olmstead Ky last night and the engine mail express and baggage par were overturned The engines and fireman were pinned under the engine and the legs of both men were broken The occupants of the mall express and baggage oars wore considerably shaken up and bruised but none were seriously injured None of the passenger were hurt The washout was caused by Whippoorwill creek rsasa result of the suspension which went into effect atrc midnight tonight due to wage troubles More than 400000 miners about 150000 anthracite and 250000 bituminous will take9a vacation which probably willu last over a few weeks Differ ent from a strike the miners will leave pomp men and other at work to protect the mines from oodin10tothe troublei due to a suspension The bituminous miners will be optonly long enough for the wage agreement reached in Cleveland to be ratified by the miners by a referendum vote as it is believed the agreement will be sanctioned by a large majority The suspension itfthe anth racite mines will be of longer I duration as noafigroementhas yet been reached between the miners arid operators After negotia tions were broken off in New York on March 18 between the anthracite miners and operators nothing was done toward getting fltogether again until yesterday 11 when both sides agreed to meet in Philadelphia on April 10 and reopen negotiations
