Carfoads of cast iron pipe with which to complete Earlington's gridiron system for the perfection of our water system and fire fighting service, are beg nning to arrive and it is expected that Willard Cavaness and his force will soon be busy laying this pipe and completing connection. This is now the most important part of the work yet to be done and will give Earlington a standard circulating system, as complete and effective for our needs as is required in the largest cities under the most recent insurance rules. The new pipe lines will extend through Day street from Main to Moss Avenue, thence west to McEuen and back to Main; and from Main to Clark through Railroad street and thence to Robinson street, tieing into the old main at that point.
