young man where he spent several years as a carpenter Later he came to be in charge of construction of bridge work for theLonlsvilln Nashville railroad which occupied him for some years during which time bo married Miss Nettle Iser of Springfield Tenn Mrs Martin died here seven years ago His last years were spent in Earliugton and he was constantly active in his vocation until forced to relinquish his work by ill health and even then he would drive to a building when he was barely able to sit or lie in viow of the work and direct the workmen His wife a life righteously and in tho faithful performance of duty to his family and to society to the full limit ot his strength and his Opportunities And tnere are many old Irleuds and new who cherish and honor his memory Watt Hardl
