St Louis Railway The Loiusville Nashville is about to place in service the new freight cars built for it These new cars will differ materially from the ordinary box cars in so far that they will be British railroad expert is expected Largest Freight Train The largest freight train ever hauled anywhere in the world ran eastward from Altoona to Columbia on Tuesday of last week over the Pennsylvania Railroad The recordbreaker was made up of 130 cars of Amboy coal which made a train 3877 feet in length a riffle less than threequarters of a mile The total weight of the train behind the tender of the engine was 5212 tons of which 3693 tons was the weight ot the coal The train was hauled by engine 872 the first of the great Hjclass and probably the largest engine in the world The following from the Manufacturers Record would indicate that parties in Tennessee are clamoring for more rail roadsThe present status of the Tennessee Central project is given In the following location has not definitely been determined Two or three corps of engineers will be put to work within a few days locating the line from Clarksville to Monterey The money is all ready to build as fast Huster has this to S3Ys about erecting coke ovens at the Heinecke mines Mr I Bailey has just returned t from St Louis where he went to make some investigation in reference lo the manufacture of coke at this place While it has not been definitely determined whatt will be done in reference to the manufac turing of this important article of com merce yet it is more than probablea that a battery of ovens t put in at the mines in the near future The Hustler is more than willing to confess that it is not at all posted in referenco to the manufacture and sale of coke yet If it can be made and sold
