people The Knights of Pythias have for some years past practically appropriated the Fourth of July in Earl ington and the big picnics they give have become famous for miles around The story oi the beautiful picnic grounds at Lakeside Park Loch Mary and the equally beautiful surroundings has become so well grounded in the minds ofI the people within hearing and the magnitude and success of the picnics given there arc so well known that the many people who enjoy a picnic are sure always to attend these celebrations Dr Agnew and some twenty other Sir Knights came from Sebrce in a special car on a through height and brought the Sebee Cornet Band with them Many visiting knights were lucre from Madisouvillo and elsewhere and the trains and many vehicles brought hundreds of people to and fro all day long Guaged by the business done by the livery men hauling passengers back and forth it was one of the largest picnics ever held in Earlington and that is saying a great deal The amount oi believed that the special work of the special session in thepassage of atariff bill hav- tng been so promptly and happily completed the business clement of the country would prefer an iportenity to adjust itself to the- new conditions in regard to the tarilf before being brought face to- face with the currency problem Those who hold to this view be- Iieve that it would be better to dc- fer any action on the currency question until the regular meeting of ingress in December and give- Lie country a rest Whether 11u- splan is determined upon or whether a currency commission shall he- urged
