After Four Year of Inrcnilcntlnn Japan Decides to Discord Silver. On March 1 it was cabled from Yokohama that Japan had decided to adopt tbo gold standard nt n ratio of 32)4 to 1, tho now standard to go into operation in October. This act, on top of many previous ones, movcfl Japan completely out of tho ranks of tho and into thoso of civilized and progressive nations. This commission found that, whilo certain capitalists, especially thoso employing many laborers, wero benefited by tho falling silver standard,, tho wago earners wero injured from tho fact that their wages did not riso as fast as did tho prices of what they had to buy.
