This single item collection consists of a letter written to William Taylor of Shelby County, Kentucky, by Lawrence Berry of King George County, Virginia. The letter is dated August 10, 1817. Berry discusses a copy of a deed that Taylor requested from the Carolina County, Virginia, Court House. He then discusses a land transaction he would like Taylor to review before it is finalized. His last topic is a request that Taylor act as his power of attorney in selling a tract of land Berry owned, in Muhlenburg County, Kentucky. The land was originally part of a Revolutionary War land grant held by George Matthews. Berry mentions his health and the remedy of a cold bath to cure what ailments. Arrangement: Chronological.
