The Lyceum was a literary society in Frankfort during the late nineteenth century. It is considered an antecedent of the revived Kentucky Historical Society and many of the group's members later were Society members or staff. This collection contains copies of the newsletter or other papers of the Frankfort Lyceum. These manuscripts contain essays and poetry submitted by the editors and/or club members. Arrangement: Chronological County: Franklin Variant Name: Variant names for the papers were the LYCEUM CHRONICLE, the CASTALIAN CHRONICLE, and FRANKFORT LYCEUM CHRONICLE.
