Maurice Daniel, a 1918 graduate of the University of Louisville, played football for U of L and was named to the All-Kentucky team in December 1916. He went on to a military career, reaching the rank of Brigadier General. Most of this collection concerns the 1916 University of Louisville football team, to which Daniel belonged. Included are team, game, and individual photographs as well as newspaper clippings concerning Daniel's selection as an All-State fullback in Kentucky for 1916. Other items include photographs of the 1916 women's basketball team at the University of Louisville.
