[identification of item(s)], Papers of Claude S. Williams Papers, C.J. and Frances Lyons Bolton Archives, Ensor Learning Resource Center, Georgetown College, Georgetown. This document was donated by Anne Longacre Frith, of Lexington, Kentucky, whose mother, Ruth Longacre, gave it to her. Mrs. Longacre taught Latin at Georgetown College and took the Exercise Book home with her when she retired. Most likely Claude Williams left it behind when he graduated Georgetown College. He may have resided in Pawling Hall during his student days where Mrs. Longacre had her office before moving to Calhoun Hall, on the southeast corner of Jackson and Mulberry streets, Georgetown, Kentucky. Williams received an A.M. in 1882 from Georgetown College. After college he served as president of the Kentucky Growers Co-operative Fire Insurance Company 1900- and president, Farmers Bank and Trust Company, Georgetown, Kentucky, 1906-. He was a farmer and a trustee, Georgetown College, 1904-1932. The collection consists of Williams' exercise book, used while a student at Georgetown College. It contains exercises for Latin and English grammar during the 1880-1881 academic year. This is the only item in Williams' papers. The folder is included in a group of miscellaneous collections in which all the individuals were connected with Georgetown College as alumni and/or trustees. Within the miscellaneous collections, the papers are alphabetized according to surname. Container List 1 1 Latin Exercise Book, 1880-1881
