CAESARIAN SCORES AGAIN The Sheffield track opened for its summer meeting in a happy and handsome way The general establishment has been much improved The air was balmy track fast crowd large and racing clean and eyeable seeable Eighteen regular and two field books did a good business and as all the winners except My Luck were well backed the public had a good day Only two actual favorites Zamar Zamia II and Caesarian both at odds on won Sunny also at odds on failed The fields were not large but the racing out of them was classful glassful and full of interest The principal events wore an Owners Handi Hand ¬ cap and a high priced selling race both at threequarters treasurers of a mile In the first named there wore five starters and Sunny was consid consider ¬ ered erred a pood pod thing but Doctor G and Selena Elena were equally fancied Sunny was off in front but D Burns set out with Doctor G and mak make ¬ ing King all the running won handily by throe lengths with Serena second a length in front of Sunny His recent loug lug distance races in heavy going seem to have taken the edge off Sunnys Sunny speed speedIn speeding In the selling race Magnet who was entered not to be sold was an absentee It is feared that the injury he sustained on Tuesday is more severe than was thought Caesarian opened favurite favorite at 3 to 5 but a strong play on Simmons drove him back to even money He did not remain there long and went to the post at his opening price Caesarian led all the way and Simmons was the only one who could get near him Caesarian won handily by three quarters of a length and pulled up lame C Sloan who rode him said he felt the horse falter at the sixteenth pole poleIn pollen In the opening event Mollie King was favorite Lady Rose made the running In the stretch Mollie King joined her and in a driving finish Lady Eose Ese won by a nose McHugh Chug outfinishing optimizing Clay ClayZamar Catamaran Zamar Zamia II the favorite led the whole of the journey in the 2yearold race and won easily from Siegfried Sigrid who ran a good race pressing the winner somewhat in the stretch stretchIn stretching In the second half of the seven furlongs Eagle Bird was the favorite but Full Measure was well backed The English mare got off in front and staying there to the end won by a length with Eagle Bird second and Outgo a fair third thirdThe third The hurdle race produced a good finish be ¬ tween teen My Luck and the favorite St Brandon The weight told on the son of St Blaise Blains at the finish and My Luck won by half a length lengthHarry length Harry Blaylock Ladylike has been engaged to ride for the Foster Bros Brows Stable StableThe Stable The inquest on little Hothersall Others was com ¬ menced menaced yesterday and adjourned till today The remains in charge of his brother were taken to Now York last night Brooklyn Meeting Winners.
