Item: KUKM-M590

A letter from H. Marshall and John Oberman, to Governor Isaac Shelby nominating Henry Watkins, Charles Railey, and Henry Fields, as Justices of the Peace for Buck Run [?] and Green Creek, KY. The governor's power to appoint local officials was transferred to county courts in the second Constitution, who presented him with two nomination lists from which to choose. 1795
