Daniel Boone’s survey of Larrance Raidkins’s 500-acre land grant in Bourbon County, as per "treasury Warrant No 10215." Boundaries are measured in "poles" and demarcated using natural landmarks, including the Licking River and assorted trees. Due to these methods, the surveys necessary to secure land claims meant that plots often overlapped, and sometimes resulted in land disputes. 15 July 1788
