Item: KUKM-2007MS098

An anonymous Kentuckian writes Abraham Lincoln requesting Camp Dick Robinson be removed to Louisville because its creation has compromised the ability of Union men with the state to keep the Commonwealth loyal to the union and to the Constutition. "The existence of this camp in Kentucky," writes the author, "is certainly in our judgements calculated to bring about a civil war and secession in our state." 14 August 1861
