Scope and Content

These are the original manuscript constitution or articles of agreement of the Board of Trustees of Berea College (1859), a manuscript draft of the articles of incorporation, John G. Fee's notes on early trustee meetings, class lists and reports from the 1860s, a report of the Freedmen's Bureau on the College, and various newsclippings and published reports on the College.

Important among these newsclippings are articles relating to the expulsion, or exile, of the founders of the College.
