Rankin, M.D., congratulating him on his election as President-Elect of the American Medical Association, as well as on his faculty appointment at the University of Louisville. She informs him that her husband, Dr. Herndon, "has been incapacitated for more than a year and a half" but that he would be pleased if Dr. Rankin could stop by to see him when in Louisville, 1941
