Starks Hall. (Printed verso reads: "Kentucky Female Orphan School. Fourteen miles west of Lexington between the Leestown and Old Frankfort Pikes. This is the only secondary school known that chooses its students from among orphan girls. It was started and is maintained by the Christian Church.")
