Austin, Dean of Men Motion was made by Mr. Stokes, and seconded by Mrs. Mason, that . the recommendations of the Committee and the President be adopted and the certificates issued and renewed according to their recommendations. The roll was called upon the adoption of this motion with the follow- l ing result; Mrs. Mason, aye; Mr. Stokes, aye; Mr. Snook, aye. Election of Additional Faculty President Wells recommended the election of Miss Marjorie Barton as a member of the faculty at a salary of $150.00 per calendar month, beginning September 16, 1952 and continuing until May 51, 1955. · Motion was made by Mrs. Mason, and seconded by Mr. Stokes, that Miss Marjorie Barton be elected a member of the faculty at the salary , and for the period of time recommended by the President. The roll ‘ was called upon the adoption of this motion with the following result: . Mrs. Mason, aye; Mr. Stokes, aye; Mr. Snook, aye. . ~ President Wells next recommended that Mrs. Italy Byrd be re-elected . as a member of the faculty at a salary of $125.00 per calendar month, { beginning August 26, 1952 and continuing until May 51, 1955; and that Mr. John Miller be re-elected as a member of the faculty at a salary of $157.50 per calendar month, beginning August 26, 1952 and continu- L ing until May 51, 1955. ‘ Motion was made by Mr. Stokes, and seconded by Mrs. Mason, that Mrs. Italy Byrd and Mr. John Miller be re-elected members of the faculty for the periods of time and at the salaries recommended by ` the President. The roll was called upon the adoption of this motion I with the following result: Mrs. Mason, aye; Mr. Stokes, aye; Mr. Snook, aye. V . Leaves of Absence for Miss Grace Wyatt, Miss Grace Post and Mrs. Donnye Clopton Tarver , ~ Dr. Wells recommended that leaves of absence be granted to Miss A Grace Wyatt, Miss Grace Post and Mrs. Donnye Clopton Tarver as members A of the faculty from August 26, 1952 to May 51, 1955. M Motion was made by Mr. Stokes, and seconded by Mrs. Mason, that ` leaves of absence be granted the above named members of the faculty _, as recom ended by the President.
