Biography/History

Kai Erikson, a native of Vienna, Austria, was educated at Reed College (B.A., 1953) and at the University of Chicago (M.A., 1955; Ph.D., 1962). His book describes the impact of a 1972 flood on the community of Buffalo Creek, West Virginia, and was the recipient of Berea College's Weatherford Award for 1976.

Scope and Content

This is a typed manuscript of Erikson's EVERYTHING IN ITS PATH, published by Simon and Schuster in 1976.

The typescript comprises 349 pages and includes minor handwritten revisions which were probably made by editorial staff.
