Scope and Content

Union soldier with the 34th New Jersey Infantry. Letter written to his brother while serving in the 34th New Jersey Volunteer Infantry in Kentucky and Louisiana during the war and Alabama after the war. Revelle was released from military prison to serve in the war. Action in Kentucky was against guerrilla activity and tells of the capture of several prisoners and describes the execution of one prisoner. Card file in repository
